    Ryde Falls

A short walk along the Wharfedale track, west of Oxford (Canterbury, NZ) brings you to the foot of Ryde Falls.

A few years ago I visited this location and a huge tree trunk cut across this lower tier. I wonder how many other trunks have washed past since?

    Archway Islands

The now infamous Wharariki beach at the very top of the South Island, new Zealand.

The sea stacks are a beautiful landmark, but the incredibly smooth, flat beach and beautiful tones in the sand create captivating patterns beneath your feet, as the waves roll in

    Boulder Bay

Surprisingly this spot is not far outside Christchurch city.

Around the base of hte port hills past Sumner lies Taylor's Mistake. A walking track follows around the headlands to an old gun emplacement and a series of baches (holiday 'cottages') in this slightly sheltered bay.

    Oxbow

I was lucky enough to find myself near Hanmer just after a big dump of fresh snow. Luckily the reaods were clear before the snow and it had left just a soft layer over everything. This section of river in the Acheron valley was particularly fascinating to m, especially as the local natives had clearly been wandering around in search of food ealier that day...

This is a panorama of 3 images, shot on a canon 16-35 f/4, then stitched together in PT Gui
