Last Light at Jackson's Bay



Just back from a splendid few days' travel along the West coast - after torrential rain at the glaciers through Franz Joseph and Fox, the last thing we expected was a glorious sunset, but by the time we had trekked out to Jackson's Bay (as far south as you can go on the west coast on New Zealand's South Island, before heading inland again) the skies had mostly cleared and we were treated to a delightfully warm end to the day.

This was shot on at 16mm, f/11, 15s with a polariser and a 3-stop reverse ND filter.

Heading into Haast the following day was a different matter...
