Storm Tide

Huge swells at Punakaiki a few weeks ago gave some really impressive action at the blowholes - lots of tourists enjoying the show, and a nice sunny day in winter definitely helped keep the crowds. Earlier that morning I was slightly further north and couldn't resist a long-exposure shot of the waves crashing over the foreshore rocks!

ISO 400, f/9, 30s exposure, 24mm (16-35 f/4 lens) with a polariser, Lee little stopper and singh-ray reverse ND graduated filter
